Good afternoon!

What’s your favorite flower? Roses, tulips, and marigolds are among the Faith Direct team’s favorites, and we are thrilled to see flowers blooming this spring in local parks, in our neighborhoods, and in our own backyards. Flowers and foliage are celebrated early in the Bible as a reflection of God’s creation. Genesis 1:12 says, “The earth brought forth vegetation: every kind of plant that bears seed and every kind of fruit tree that bears fruit with its seed in it. God saw that it was good.” May the beauty of God’s world bring you endless joy this month! 

This month we’re sharing a detailed look at how to manually create parishioner accounts, as well as new promotional images you can use for your parish’s social media, website, and bulletin – plus disbursement information for this month and a schedule of upcoming webinars.

How to Manually Create Parishioner AccountsHave you ever gotten the physical enrollment forms and aren’t sure what to do with them?  You can always send them to our Faith Direct office at 7901 Jones Branch Dr, Suite 500, McLean VA 22102, OR, as long as you have Donor Management access, you have the access to input them yourself!   

Not sure how?  It’s very easy!  When logged in to your church admin account, click on the magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner.  That will take you to the Donor Lookup screen.  On the left, you should have four options of ‘Church Overview, ‘Add New Account’, ‘Giving History’, and ‘Classic Search’.  Click on ‘Add New Account’. 

On the Account Overview, you’ll be able to add in their name, address, email, envelope number (Church assigned ID), make the selection if they want offertory cards and receive the donation reminder email.  Once that information is input, click on the blue button ‘save’ and the record will be created. 

Once the save button is clicked, you’ll get the tabs on the left of Personal Info, Payment Info & Gifts, and Giving History.  Click on the green button of ‘+New Payment Method’ and add in their credit card or banking information and click save. After the payment method is saved, input the number of collections they want to give to, then click “Add”.   






The Appeal name gives a drop down of all of the appeals that your parish has on your account, simply select the collection, the method of payment (if they have more than one), the amount that they want to donate and choose either the 4th or the 15th as their debit date.  Make sure that ‘Active’ is set to ‘Yes’ and then Frequency should default to how the appeal is collected.  The start date will default to the last day of the current month you are in, so that the account deductions would start the following month.   

If you realize that you’ve made a mistake and need to remove the appeal, you can click on the red ‘Delete’ button.  As long as there are no past gifts on it, you can delete an appeal from a parishioner account.  Once gifts have been made towards the appeal, you’d have to change it to inactive by changing the ‘Active’ selection to ‘No’.  

Once you have completed putting in all the appeals that the parishioner would like to have, you click on the blue ‘Save gifts’ button and you’re done!

May Bulletin & Facebook Announcements

Communicating with parishioners is important. Faith Direct recommends that every parish promote the program in its weekly bulletin and on its website and social media pages.

May 2021 Disbursements Faith Direct will process May donations on Tuesday, May 4th, and Monday, May 17th. Parish disbursements will be Monday, May 10th, and Friday, Monday 21st.
