In May, we celebrated Mother’s Day and now Father’s Day is on the calendar this month – what wonderful reminders of the importance of families to parish life. It’s a joy to have more moms, dads, and kids once again taking part in in-person events, especially as summer begins and new gatherings are added to the schedule. Here’s hoping the summer months will be busy, meaningful and fun for your parish!

Did You Know: Campaign Giving through Faith Direct Let Faith Direct handle your parish campaign gifts! Faith Direct has an appeal option specifically for campaigns, which are pledge-driven as opposed to ongoing recurring gifts with no end date. In other words, the system stops processing once the donor’s chosen pledge amount has been reached. The campaign appeal gives you the following options:
- Multiple frequencies - annually, semi-annually, quarterly, monthly, one time, etc.
- Time/duration controls - maximum numbers of months, pledge cutoff dates, etc.
- Personalization - add your own campaign logo to the appeal and use the text box to add a description
- Option for down payment
You can track progress on your campaign giving by using the Pledge Summary report in the Faith Direct Admin Site. If you have any questions about setting up a campaign, please contact your Client Success Manager. |
| National eGiving Day The first day of summer is only a few weeks away, and National eGiving Day along with it! Many parishes tend to see a slump in giving during the summer months, so what better way to kickstart the summer than with a dedicated campaign encouraging your parishioners to enroll in online giving? There is still time to sign up for the 2021 National eGiving Day email campaign and have Faith Direct send an email on your behalf to St. John Demo Church families to encourage enrollment in online giving! With these email campaigns, we consistently see trends of not only an immediate spike in online enrollment the day an email is sent, but a sustained increase in online enrollment that lasts for days afterward. Take a quick moment to review the sample email (available in English here and in Spanish here) encouraging parishioners who do not currently give online to enroll. Feel free to download the copy and modify it to suit your parish or incorporate any other important messages you may have. Faith Direct has also prepared a National eGiving Day Social Media Kit with images for use on your social media channels and in the church bulletin that reinforce the need to keep offertory consistent through online giving. To utilize this service and have Faith Direct send a National eGiving Day email on your behalf, please reply to this email or contact your Success Manager with your updated copy and a parish email list by Friday, June 11th. The email will be sent on Thursday, June 17th. Faith Direct will not send this email without your permission. |
How to Update Parishioner Envelope Numbers
When parishioners create their online giving accounts, they have the option to add their parish envelope number to their profile. It’s a great feature, but sometimes they don’t recall the correct number (or they leave it blank) which can lead to issues downloading the contribution export and importing Faith Direct gifts into your church management software. Users on the Church Admin site have the ability to manually change individual donors’ envelope numbers, but what if you have several that need to be updated? Good news! You can run the Donor Export (under the Utilities section) and download a list of parishioners, their Faith Direct account numbers and their envelope numbers. Simply update the envelope numbers in the spreadsheet (make sure to leave the Faith Direct ID) and email the spreadsheet to your Client Success Manager, who will be able to bulk upload the corrected numbers into the system! |
June Bulletin & Facebook Announcements Communicating with parishioners is important. Faith Direct recommends that every parish promote the program in its weekly bulletin and on its website and social media pages.

June 2021 Disbursements Faith Direct will process June donations on Friday, June 4th, and Tuesday, June 15th. Parish disbursements will be Thursday, June 10th, and Monday, June 21st.
