The Thanksgiving season is always a wonderful time to reflect on God’s abundant blessings and His love for each of us.
In this newsletter, we have information about how to update appeals for 2022, as well as November disbursements and upcoming webinars. We are grateful to be part of your parish ministries, and we wish you, your colleagues, and your church family continued blessings for the Thanksgiving season.
COMING SOON! Keep a lookout for our GivingTuesday email campaign that will help you promote online giving for your parish! We'll provide everything including email messaging, social graphics, and bulletin images to help you motivate your givers to participate in this global day of generosity. Need to update collections for 2022?Did you know that you can now update your appeals through Church Admin? As some appeals change year to year, you can update those appeals so they match when you are collecting for them in your parish. (Please note you can only change appeals if you have Appeal Management or Master Access roles).
Click on the Appeal ID. In the appeal settings, about halfway down you will see “Appeal Collection Frequency” and a dropdown to choose the month desired for that collection.
*Please keep in mind, if you change the processing month to an upcoming month but donations to an appeal have already been withdrawn this year, donors attached to that appeal will have their gifts withdrawn again. For example, if Christmas Flowers has already processed in November and you change the month to December, those donors will be debited in both months. In this case, you should hold off on changing the month until after the first of the year.

Event Forms Office HoursWe’re changing up our usual webinar format. Drop by for “office hours” with the Operations team every day next week and dig into the new event registration platform.
We want to make this as interactive and helpful as possible, so bring your questions and your forms and we can work through them together!
Our event experts can brainstorm and offer recommendations on your event forms and provide training on topics like:
- Form properties, from setting a time zone to customized email notifications to event staff
- All of the different payment options: optional donations, add-ons, processing fees, oh my!
- How to view and download form responses

Bulletin Announcements This Thanksgiving we are expecting an unprecedented number of people throughout our community to turn to St. John Demo Church for warm meals, comfort, and shelter. No one in need should be turned away, which is why we are reaching out to our parishioners.
Your generous online donations now will help sustain Thanksgiving ministries that reflect God’s love. As you can imagine, our ministries are feeling the effects of rising costs and empty shelves. We must prepare as early as possible this year to do our best to help those in need.
We prayerfully request that you consider signing up for eGiving from your computer, smartphone or tablet. You can set up a recurring donation or make a one-time gift.

November 2021 Disbursements
Faith Direct will process November donations on Thursday, November 4th and Monday, November 15th. Parish disbursements will be available after 3PM ET on Wednesday, November 10th, and Friday, November 19th.
If your parish is currently offering one debit date and would like to add a second, you can contact your Success Manager directly at alyssa@faithdirect.net or send an email to clientcare@faithdirect.net. |
| Church Admin Training Webinars
Our regular training series on the Church Admin site continues this month. The agenda covers the basics:
- Managing user permissions and accounts, including inviting staff to set up new user accounts
- Locating parishioners’ giving accounts to update scheduled gifts and payment methods
- Updating appeals and collections on the church giving pages
- An overview of available reports
We love questions! Above all, we want these webinars to be useful to you, so don’t hesitate to bring your questions for our Operations experts to answer live!
