2022 has been a fiercely cold year so far for many Faith Direct churches – even normally sunny parishes in Florida have seen unseasonably cold temperatures! Who knows if we’ll see some final bursts of winter weather, but what is certain is that Faith Direct is here for you and your ministries – rain or shine, or snow.

This month we’re sharing an important update on information collection for “Know Your Customer” compliance; a new feature for creating custom event templates; and details on this year’s Lenten Challenge email campaign.

Important: Customer Information Collection Faith Direct is conducting an audit of our customer account information to ensure that we are meeting current regulations around “Know-Your-Customer” (i.e., “KYC”) compliance.

Contacts at the church who have been designated as the Pastor or as a primary contact will be receiving an email from Faith Direct next week regarding collecting any missing information. Please watch your inbox for further emails from Faith Direct and your Success Manager.
Lenten Challenge Email Campaign

During Lent, Christians are called to renew spiritual practices like fasting, praying and almsgiving. As almsgiving promotes gratitude for all that God has given by giving some away, Lent is a time for parishioners to think about how they give. Your parish can help promote adopting eGiving by participating in our FREE Lenten Email Challenge and downloading a complimentary toolkit HERE.

Please take a moment to view the sample of the email and let us know if your parish would like to participate. You can view it in English here and in Spanish here.

This email send is completely free of charge and you can opt in by responding to this email or calling us toll-free at 866-507-8757 by Wednesday, February 23rd. The email will be sent on Ash Wednesday, March 2nd. Faith Direct will NOT send this email without your approval.
New Feature! Create Custom Event Templates You might have noticed a new button in the Event Forms builder this week. Now, when you need to build multiple similar forms, or carry over an event from this year into next year, you can save an existing event as a template for future use. This is comparable to the “Copy” feature in the Legacy Events platform.  

When building an event form, you will have a button next to the regular save button to “Save as New Template.” If you want to save an existing event form, all you need to do is make a small change to it (add a space to a question name or text field, for example) to get the save button to become available.


Once you hit the “Save as New Template” button, a box will pop up where you can give it a custom name, and that name will appear in the list of available templates whenever you or anyone else is creating a new form! For more details, read the Knowledge Base article
ACTION NEEDED: Migrate Legacy Event Forms to the New Event Forms Platform This is a reminder that the Legacy Events platform will stop accepting registrations and payments on March 1, 2022. Any open event forms that need to continue accepting registrations beyond the end of this month should be set up in the new events platform.  

You will still be able to download reports and view past events for reference.

Event Forms Promotion As a little nudge to get everyone over onto the new events platform, Faith Direct is bringing back the opportunity to earn back 2% on event payments processed through March 31, 2022! If you haven't signed up yet, all you have to do is...

1. Opt in HERE (an example of a new event form, by the way)

2. Create an Event (or several) using the NEW Event Forms platform

3. Process more than $2,500 through any single Event before March 31st

Faith Direct will be giving close to $55,000 back to our customers from the 2021 Event Forms Promotion and Donor Match Program. Don't miss your chance to get something back in 2022!

February 2022 Disbursements
Faith Direct will process February donations on Friday, February 4th and Tuesday, February 15th. Parish disbursements will be Thursday, February 10th, and Tuesday, February 22nd.

The second February disbursement will be delayed one day because of the Presidents Day bank holiday on Monday, the 21st.

If your parish is currently offering one debit date and would like to add a second, you can contact your Success Manager directly or send an email to clientcare@faithdirect.net.
Tax Form: 1099-Ks
In accordance with Section 6050W of the IRS Code, Faith Direct's merchant processing partners are required to send a form 1099-K to each of our participating organizations.

This form details the gross monthly amounts processed by Faith Direct for your organization in 2021.  

The 1099-K forms are now being sent to any entity that accepts payments/donations via credit or debit card as part of the IRS's efforts to confirm that the merchant processors are correctly reporting their transactions.

1099-K forms have been sent directly from our processing partners to you and will reference “Site Organic LLC” as the company name.
